It is the original Crete without hotel castles like in the north. The hotel has its own pebble beach. We had a renovated room that was very nice. In the evening there is a rather small buffet. There was a lot of typical Cretan food with legumes etc. We found it really good and tasty! The atmosphere in the hotel is familiar. A whole family works here and it shows. Everyone tries hard and is very friendly. With a rental car, which is best booked at the airport, you can explore the area, for example Pefki with its great tavern is worth it (you can also easily hike there through a gorge). If you are looking for a quiet, family-run hotel as a starting point for your own adventure on the beautiful southeast coast, this is the right place for you.
